Democrats never cease to amaze me. They love playing a ‘gotcha game’ but think they are immune to their past and the truth holding them accountable. From the files of "I am a big fat liar" comes this gem from Red State.

Kilroy attacked Stivers for once working as a lobbyist for Bank One. Stivers responded that Kilroy ran a socialist newspaper. The Kilroy campaign shot back, claiming that Kilroy won an award for "excellent journalism" and that Stivers is lying about Kilroy's time at the Free Press, the socialist newspaper Kilroy worked at.
But, ladies and gentlemen, I have found something far more damning about Mary Jo Kilroy.

Not only did Mary Jo Kilroy actively run the far left Free Press newspaper, she participated in a French socialist documentary sympathetically chronicling the struggle of the far left in America.

After I posted this comment, I noticed another commenter included the same link as me. I went back to look at the reactions to both comments - and one at a time - they were both pulled from the comments. My original comment was time-stamped 7:42:49 PM - and as you can see below there is no remaining comment for that time. It was removed.

Fat Cats or Stupid Borrowers

So many people are against the $700 Billion ‘Bail Out’ because they do not want to help Wall Street 'Fat Cats' who they said caused this.

Is this outrage well placed?

This crisis is because of bad loans, deflated home values and under-valued mortgages. Fat Cats? Where is the outrage and blame of those who had no business taking loans they could not afford at rates that doubled after a short amount of time? Fat Cats? No. The bail out is because of folks who had a household income of $50k thought they were ‘entitled’ to a loan of $350k for a house bought on terms only an idiot would agree to. I suppose these people put flat screens on lay-away or LOVE stores like USA Discounters. Can’t afford it? No problem!

The same ideology that told you that everyone is entitled to a house regardless of their ability to pay for it, is now blaming the very industry they pushed and provided incentives to make these bad loans happen. Now obviously there are exceptions, some opportunistic and criminal mortgage scams, but I am talking about the majority of the loans.

So who loses in this? People like me who got a traditional 30-year fixed rate mortgage that I could afford based on the over prime good credit I earned and protected all of my life.

Who wins? People who were irresponsible with a sense of entitlement who this bail out with save.

So what have we learned? Buy whatever you want, comrades. Your government will save you.

So if you know anyone who has a mortgage for a house you know they could not afford, tell them 'thank you.' Thank you for the crisis.

Biden Admits His Own Campaign’s Tone is Bad; Oh and he is sorry.

During an interview with CBS' Katie Couric, VP Candidate Sen. Joe Biden says about his attack ads, “didn't know we did it, and if I'd had anything to do with it, we would have never done it.”

Uh, so, who is running the campaign? Obviously not Joe Biden, but what about Sen. Obama? Is Biden’s new job to play the role of “apologetic” Ike Turner? “I am sorry, Baby. I’ll never do it again... I didn’t mean it”

And then I think we all know what happens next... Lather, Rinse, Repeat... Attack, Apologize, Repeat. Change we can believe in?

Palin’s Never Delivered Speech at UN Protest of Iran

Gov. Sarah Palin was originally scheduled to appear at the protest in Dag Hammarskjold Plaza today toprotest of the UN appearance of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Her appearence was cancelled when Hillary Clinton aides complained. Clinton was invited as well and instead of standing together as a sign of American Unity, Clinton aides chose to make it a partisan political issue (of course).

Below is the text of the speech Gov. Palin was to give (source).

I am honored to be with you and with leaders from across this great country - leaders from different faiths and political parties united in a single voice of outrage.

Tomorrow, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will come to New York - to the heart of what he calls the Great Satan - and speak freely in this, a country whose demise he has called for.

Ahmadinejad may choose his words carefully, but underneath all of the rhetoric is an agenda that threatens all who seek a safer and freer world. We gather here today to highlight the Iranian dictator's intentions and to call for action to thwart him.
He must be stopped.

The world must awake to the threat this man poses to all of us. Ahmadinejad denies that the Holocaust ever took place. He dreams of being an agent in a "Final Solution" - the elimination of the Jewish people. He has called Israel a "stinking corpse" that is "on its way to annihilation."

Such talk cannot be dismissed as the ravings of a madman -not when Iran just this summer tested long-range Shahab-3 missiles capable of striking Tel Aviv, not when the Iranian nuclear program is nearing completion, and not when Iran sponsors terrorists that threaten and kill innocent people around the world.

The Iranian government wants nuclear weapons. The International Atomic Energy Agency reports that Iran is running at least 3,800 centrifuges and that its uranium enrichment capacity is rapidly improving. According to news reports, U.S. intelligence agencies believe the Iranians may have enough nuclear material to produce a bomb within a year.

The world has condemned these activities. The United Nations Security Council has demanded that Iran suspend its illegal nuclear enrichment activities. It has levied three rounds of sanctions. How has Ahmadinejad responded? With the declaration that the "Iranian nation would not retreat one iota" from its nuclear program.

So, what should we do about this growing threat? First, we must succeed in Iraq. If we fail there, it will jeopardize the democracy the Iraqis have worked so hard to build, and empower the extremists in neighboring Iran. Iran has armed and trained terrorists who have killed our soldiers in Iraq, and it is Iran that would benefit from an American defeat in Iraq.

If we retreat without leaving a stable Iraq, Iran's nuclear ambitions will be bolstered. If Iran acquires nuclear weapons ? they could share them tomorrow with the terrorists they finance, arm, and train today. Iranian nuclear weapons would set off a dangerous regional nuclear arms race that would make all of us less safe.

But Iran is not only a regional threat; it threatens the entire world. It is the no. 1 state sponsor of terrorism. It sponsors the world's most vicious terrorist groups, Hamas and Hezbollah. Together, Iran and its terrorists are responsible for the deaths of Americans in Lebanon in the 1980s, in Saudi Arabia in the 1990s, and in Iraq today. They have murdered Iraqis, Lebanese, Palestinians, and other Muslims who have resisted Iran's desire to dominate the region. They have persecuted countless people simply because they are Jewish.

Iran is responsible for attacks not only on Israelis, but on Jews living as far away as Argentina. Anti-Semitism and Holocaust denial are part of Iran's official ideology and murder is part of its official policy. Not even Iranian citizens are safe from their government's threat to those who want to live, work, and worship in peace. Politically-motivated abductions, torture, death by stoning, flogging, and amputations are just some of its state-sanctioned punishments.

It is said that the measure of a country is the treatment of its most vulnerable citizens. By that standard, the Iranian government is both oppressive and barbaric. Under Ahmadinejad's rule, Iranian women are some of the most vulnerable citizens.

If an Iranian woman shows too much hair in public, she risks being beaten or killed. If she walks down a public street in clothing that violates the state dress code, she could be arrested.

But in the face of this harsh regime, the Iranian women have shown courage. Despite threats to their lives and their families, Iranian women have sought better treatment through the "One Million Signatures Campaign Demanding Changes to Discriminatory Laws." The authorities have reacted with predictable barbarism. Last year, women's rights activist Delaram Ali was sentenced to 20 lashes and 10 months in prison for committing the crime of "propaganda against the system." After international protests, the judiciary reduced her sentence to "only" 10 lashes and 36 months in prison and then temporarily suspended her sentence. She still faces the threat of imprisonment.

Earlier this year, Senator Clinton said that "Iran is seeking nuclear weapons, and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps is in the forefront of that" effort. Senator Clinton argued that part of our response must include stronger sanctions, including the designation of the IRGC as a terrorist organization. John McCain and I could not agree more.

Senator Clinton understands the nature of this threat and what we must do to confront it. This is an issue that should unite all Americans. Iran should not be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons. Period. And in a single voice, we must be loud enough for the whole world to hear: Stop Iran!
Only by working together, across national, religious, and political differences, can we alter this regime's dangerous behavior. Iran has many vulnerabilities, including a regime weakened by sanctions and a population eager to embrace opportunities with the West. We must increase economic pressure to change Iran's behavior.

Tomorrow, Ahmadinejad will come to New York. On our soil, he will exercise the right of freedom of speech - a right he denies his own people. He will share his hateful agenda with the world. Our task is to focus the world on what can be done to stop him.

We must rally the world to press for truly tough sanctions at the U.N. or with our allies if Iran's allies continue to block action in the U.N. We must start with restrictions on Iran's refined petroleum imports. We must reduce our dependency on foreign oil to weaken Iran's economic influence.
We must target the regime's assets abroad; bank accounts, investments, and trading partners.

President Ahmadinejad should be held accountable for inciting genocide, a crime under international law.

We must sanction Iran's Central Bank and the Revolutionary Guard Corps -which no one should doubt is a terrorist organization. Together, we can stop Iran's nuclear program.

Senator McCain has made a solemn commitment that I strongly endorse: Never again will we risk another Holocaust. And this is not a wish, a request, or a plea to Israel's enemies. This is a promise that the United States and Israel will honor, against any enemy who cares to test us. It is John McCain's promise and it is my promise.

Report: 60,000 Come See Gov. Palin

The "Chosen One’s" campaign used to love citing the numbers of people who would attend his appearance as proof he was "Who we were waiting for." If this is true, maybe people were actually waiting for Gov. Sarah Palin.

"Sa-Rah! Sa-Rah!" they chanted at every mention of her name, applauding loudly and waiving tiny American flags that were distributed -- along with free water bottles -- by local volunteers. The fire chief estimated the crowd at 60,000. (Source)

Democrats: Vote For Obama, or You Are an un-American Racist

If you do not vote for Obama, you must not like Black people. If you are a Republican, then I guess you get a pass. If you are a Democrat (you know, the group that almost half voted AGAINST Obama) then you are a racists.

Monday afternoon, state Representatives Bob Hagan of Youngstown and Tom Letson of Warren met with reporters.
They argue many voters who call themselves "Democrats" or "Independents", but won't vote for Obama, have only one excuse, with Letson saying, "I would say that a lot of it is they're not going to vote for 'the black guy'".
Hagan called the issue "unpatriotic," adding those not willing to vote for Obama need "to face that fact. That that's not acceptable in America." (source)

Oh, and if, heaven forbid, you do not bow to the "Chosen One" you are un-American as well.
So what is there point? There point is simply tow parts.

First is to play the race card in order to snap Democrats in line and to do what they are told (Do not dare defy the Chosen One). Secondly they are setting it up so that if and when Obama loses, they can blame racism, not an inexperienced first term Senator that the DNC pushed past Hillary Clinton... You know, the one who actually won the primaries.

Now don’t get me wrong. I am glad that the primary was not given to Hillary, but to act as if the Democratic Party has always been behind Obama (or is totally now) is foolish and just plain stupid… as was the decision to ignore almost half of the Democratic party and NOT chose Clinton as the VP running mate.

Cocaine Addict, Media Obsessed, Convicted Drunk Driving, Bad Movie Making, Never Voted Before, Uneducated Hollywood Whore Has an Opinion

Lindsay Lohan, AKA Hollywood’s town bike (because everyone gets a ride) decided that her opinion about Gov. Sarah Palin should be heard. She posted some brilliant [sarcasm] points on her blog. Now of course she is entitled to her own opinion as we all are, but not all of us have publicists that put out a press release calling the media’s attention to our blog when we post. So, since she feels everyone should read her drivel, we should give it its due. And why not, she stayed sober long enough to write it (that is why it is so short).

Among the other choice and intellectual comments she made was this gem:

"I find it quite interesting that a woman who now is running to be second in command of the United States, only 4 years ago had aspirations to be a television anchor, which is probably all she is qualified to be."

This coming from an actress whose last "hit" involved her, the car she was driving and a fifth of vodka. This petry dish of VD sure is rich to pass career jusdgement on anyone.

But, as with all Holywood brain trsusts, she grunts, "Obama Good... Change, blah blah blah" and then I am shocked the usual McCain age joke is not thrown in there.

Between the likes of this loose lipped* darling, Matt Damon and others, something has occurred to me... these hoilywood eleites are REAL scared of Sarah Plain. I do noth think the are scared of her, but that he presence may in fact ruin the "Chosen One's" chance at winning. Hmm, maybe most of the Actors will vote this time (remember, until 2004 Ben Afflec, for example had voted once in his life).

It amazes me that these people are afraid of a Governor that has more executive experience than their Candidate at the head of a ticket. How dare anyone question the Messiah, right?

Another Election Year, Another Batch Of “Enlightened” Professors Trying to Indoctrinate

Here we go again. Another college professor using their classroom and authoriryt to push liberals views and doing so in a setting where students are forced to listen.

DENVER (CBS4) - Metro State College is investigating a professor who asked students to write an essay critical of Republican vice presidential candidate Gov. Sarah Palin. One student said the instructor singled out Republican students in the class and allowed others to ridicule them.

Every election cycle we go through this. "Enlightened" professors believe it is their job to indoctrinate students into the liberal world. Why is this such a shame? Because teachers are authority figures and they can play God with students’ futures.

No shock to anyone, these "open minded" sorts of people do not like being questioned and believe their way of thinking is the only way. Ironic, egomaniacal and sociopathic I believe.

You never seem to hear about Conservative professors doing this sort of thing, do you?

Why Aren't Liberals Honest About How The Like Abortion?

A great question was asked of a Planned Parenthood consultant today on Fox. The question was, if Barack Obama is ok with abortion, why doesn't he just come out and say that abortions are ok?

The consultant stuttered and said that this was an "over simplification" and on and on about how it is about the woman's right to chose. Yes, chose an abortion, so why not say that?

Notice how pro-abortionists never are willing to say (in public) that abortions are ok and a good thing. Why? Because they know it is murder and people don't generally like it. They cloud the issue and make it about "choice".... But a choice to do what? Abort a baby.

So why aren't Liberals honest? Why are they too chicken shit to just say they are ok with abortion... they like abortion and they see it as a legitimate option?

Their new smoke screen is their new "safer and less often" branding tag line, but still, they want abortion to be readily available because they are ok with abortion. So why not just say they are for abortions, period?

Media Observations And Stuff I shouldn’t Care About

Life is not all Politics. Ok, maybe it is, but another obsession of mine is the media, entertainment and other distractions. Here are some quick observations:

- Those of us that were against the Sirius/XM merger were told it would be good for the stock holders and listeners alike. Before the merger XM was trading around 5 bucks. Each XM stock was awarded 4 new Sirius/XM shares. The result? It is trading around 74 cents today, some channels are on the chopping block and many XM exclusive content has not been resigned yet. Oh, and the CEO, Mel Karmizan is talking about increasing the commercials on the channels. Damn, I hate being right so much.

- “Tyra [Banks] announced that this season is going to be about exposing the truth… and then kept her weave on the entire episode” –Joel McHale, The Soup

- Why does the media care what celebrities think about politics only every four years, but never demand we get out $10 back for the crap they make EVERY year?

- I wish the Bengals Chad Johnson spent as much time practicing as he did appealing the NFL to recognize his new name. His new name? Chad GuyWhoCan’tCatchTheDamnBall. See if that fits on your jersey.

- Is it just me or is Anderson Cooper of CNN becoming more of a celebrity than a journalist?

- The More successful Dane Cook gets, the less funnier he is.

- After the Lehman Brothers scare, I called my broker to check my investments… and when I say broker, I mean me, and when I say investments I mean I checked to see that I still had cash hidden under my mattress.

- Somewhat related, why do I hate TV pitch Man Billy Mays, but have become a fan of Mad Money’s Jim Cramer?

No houses have power but all stores and fast food joints less than a mile away do.

If I were into conspiracies I would think there was something fishy about this.

One of those stores open with power is Wal Mart and you know they control everything :-) well according to the neo- hippies.

The Day After

There is still no power in Central Ohio including here at home in Powell. The new worry is all of the food in my fridge. I am basically writing that food off. I bought a new fridge from HH Gregg a couple of months ago and in the additional warrentee I bought there is supposed to be a $250 food insurance plan for sitiations like this. We will see if it is honored and how much of a pain in the a** it is. More to come.

I am able to post via email (smart phone) but not able to post pictures. Later today I will venture out in search of WiFi to do a better post with pictures. Of those I want to post are some pics of the great folks around here who all came out to help each other.

The power comany (AEP) is telling the radio stations that it could be a week until power is restored.

As bad as it is here, and other than the annoyance of no power it is not THAT bad, I can only imagine the hell the people in Texas went through and are going through. I feel for them.

Community First

Here in Powell the winds were pretty strong. We lost power at 4:00 and two trees came crashing down in my yard.

Some guy came to my door and said a makeshift army of folks and some chain saws are around... Did I want their help.

I did and before I knew it over a dozen of people helped clear my lawn.

When we were done, we headed down the street and cleared dozens of trees.

Thanks guys! Community first.

Radical Islam Documentary In Today’s Paper

As I leafed through today’s Columbus Dispatch, I found a one hour DVD version of the documentary "Obsession: Radical Islam’s War Against the West". I have seen trailers for this documentary online before. The makers of Obsession describe their documentary:

"This award-winning documentary is an expose of Radical Islam. Obsession provides the facts and historical perspectives needed to understand the extent and magnitude of the global conflict with Radical Islam. Using footage from Arabic T.V. rarely seen in the West and interviews with former terrorists, Obsession depicts suicide bomber initiations, secret jihad meetings, indoctrination of young children, and private celebrations of 9/11. Islamic politics are viewed from an angle usually unseen by Western audiences. The West’s inability to accurately assess and evaluate the current global threat is shown".

I have started to watch this extended sample and it is well made. It is important to understand, as they state in the beginning, that this is not a movie about the everyday, average Muslim. This movie is about the radicals who high jacked the religion for violent and political reasons. Every religion seems to have those who bastardize their teachings. So many people were slaughtered during the Crusades in the name of Christianity, for example.

So what are your thoughts? Did you get a DVD in your paper? Will you watch it? Have you? What are your thoughts?

This is a pretty aggressive marketing plan (to say nothing of expensive). On the card stock the DVD is attached to, they list all of the newspapers they have done this in. I can not seem to figure out a pattern. Can you? Is there one?

Is The Acting AG Acting On the Behalf of Cordray?

The other day, Attorney General Candidate Richard Cordray (D) quipped about Republican candidate Mike Crites,

"For the past 15 years he has been sitting on the sidelines of public service."

Sidelines? Really?

Crites is a retired Navy Captain, who has served overseas as well as a Commanding Officer of multiple units, led a school board, has served as a United States Attorney for the Southern District of Ohio, a prosecutor for Delaware and Allen Counties and city prosecutor for Lima, Ohio and has served at the chairman of many organizations. Additionally he has tow daughters and two son-in-laws serving on active duty and supports them. Now if this is "Sitting on the sideline", then being a "Community Organizer" is simply staying home.

To respond to this insulting and ridiculous charge by Cordray, Crites called for a press conference that took place this morning for 10 a.m.

Absent? The Columbus Dispatch (Who ran the Crites quote for him) and the AP.

The reason? The Acting AG, Nancy Rogers called a press conference this morning... at 10 am.

Now I am sure this a coincidence, right? Because in an election to replace a disgraced Democrat who embarrassed himself and the office of Attorney General, the acting (Democrat) A.G. would never think to run defense or schedule a press conference at a certain time in order to help her party’s candidate? Right? One has to wonder.

During the press conference Crites said,

"Richard Cordray apparently believes that there's only one kind of "public service" - the "run-for-office-and-get-your-name-in-the-news. But the millions of American veterans and their families know that public service means much more. The lowliest private in a desolate outpost is doing public service that is every bit as important - perhaps even more so - than the posturing politicians back home."

On a side note, as a veteran, I am getting pretty tired of Democrats who discount military service as not being service at all, or at least not good enough for them. Some of us were too busy wearing the uniform to run for office after office after office or to make fancy speeches... Or put out 200 press releases in 17 months to get out names in the media... to prepare to run for yet another office.

Shame on you, Mr. Cordray.

Just before 6:00pm on CNN's "Situation Room" before interviewing HBO’s Bill Maher, CNN's Wolf Blizter said that HBO is a "Corporate cousin" of CNN or a sister network since they are both owned my Time-Warner. Bill Maher's comment in response seemed like an inside joke... Or an established fact about CNN

Sen. Joe Biden was on Meet The Pres this morning. While there was a lot of information discussed and a lot that could be written about, two parts stuck me.

The first point is ironic. The discussion was how he thought best to solve the problems in Iraq. Now to Sen. Biden’s credit, while he criticizes Bush and McCain, unlike Obama he actually HAS some ideas, whether you agree with him or not. Normally Obama just says “Bush Bad… McCain Bad… Surge no good.” Biden was explaining his thoughts about how philosophically a successful country would work. His point was that you must have a central government but not over powering to the local areas. He said that it must not be a top down way to govern. Local areas and provinces should be empowered, not a large central government imposing everything. Coming from a U.S. Liberal, I found this ironic. Wish he felt that way about his own country.

The second is simple. It is, sadly, what I consider to be the Obamanization of Joe Biden. Although I disagree with a lot of what he thinks, I have always respected him for being straight forward and his own man. He has been confident, but never overly cocky. Now, it seems, he has fallen into the Obama “Chosen one” school of thought.

Tom Brokaw: “Five years from now do you think Iraq will have relative stability and Democratic principles in the central government?”

Joe Biden: “If there is an Obama-Biden administration, yeah.”

Only they can save Iraq, folks. The last Joe that guaranteed a win that arrogantly was Joe Namath. He and the Jets won. Was this Joe a little too arrogant?

Obama Goes to Fox News Trying to Overshadow McCain

The night Sen. Obama accepted his nomination the only appearance Sen. McCain made was an ad congratulating Obama on his historic night. But the night Sen. McCain accepts his party's nomination it is being reported that Obama will appear on the O'Reilly Factor on Fox News... RIGHT before McCain's speech.

No good deed goes unpunished. As I know it a miracle that the Apostle Obama will appear on Fox News, make no mistake that part of his agreement was to do so only if he could the night of McCain's speech. Class act, Sen. Obama... but not surprising. I would panic too if I gave a speech to a stadium of 80,000 people and it dropped off the radar less than 24 hours later.

Between this stunt and the coordinated effort to attack, slander and push Gov. Palin off of the ticket, the Obama folks seem to be in a panic.

Media Hates Palin: Just another reason to LOVE her

This is amazing, Reports are circulating that Dem operatives have released Gov. Palin’s social security number and that their goal is to push her off the ticket “by next week”.

Helping them is the media. One only has to look to one of the most popular magazines that targets women (owned by the same people who own Rolling Stone… LARGE contributors to Obama), US Magazine.

Where is the outrage? Where are the calls from the left for calm? Can you imagine if ONE single Democrat was even LOOKED at wrong, to say nothing of physically ATTACKED in Denver? Can you imagine the enormous outcry from Obama fans the media?!?!? In this case, it is an “oh, by the way” story.

The Left Do What They Do Best: Smear… and stare at 16-year-old girls’ bodies

In the past 24 hours, the left have gone beyond their usual lying, sick selves. Allen Colmes of Fox News wonders if Gov. Palin caused her child's downs syndrome (he took the post down, but not before a screen shot was snagged), CNN's John Roberts openly wondered if Gov Palin was a fit mother to care for the child and the fine folks at Daily Kos accuse Gov. Palin's 16-year-old daughter of being the mother of the baby.


The latter is the worst. The post that throws this rumor out there spends an awful lot of time examining pictures of the minor child. They go into deep examination of this childs abs, breasts and hips. They stare and gawk at the body of this 16-year-old. Of course what they fail to mention is the family picture they cite a "baby bump" in is an Anchorage Daily News photo from 2006. Wow that is a long pregnancy.

In all of this we see the usual "enlightened" discussion we have become accustomed to from the left. The only question left to ask is, will the debates be on the news, or Dateline NBC.

To bad McCain's daughter is over the age of 18. She is too old for the liberals to stare at.
