Dispatch LTE Is a Great Response To Fake Outrage

Last Sunday there was a letter to the editor by Glenda Gammel who was arguing that HER opinion about TV programming was more important than yours and SHE should decide what is on the air or not.

Today the Dispatch printed a brilliant letter to the editor in response.
When people want to attack programming they do not like on television (and radio), normally a standard formula is followed. Step One is to point out how the content is somehow offensive to someone. The second step is to point out the accessibility of the material and the third, most important, step is to invoke the most important, yet self-righteous theme: so we can protect the children.(source)
It is worth reading in its entirety here.
