Prediction: Obama Will Have To Be Told To Back Off

For the record, I am predicting today that President-Elect Obama will try to be the President before January 20th. He and his people will make the argument that the people have spoken and although not sworn in, his policies and decisions should trump those of the current administration. Just wait.

Sadly, this will not be driven by a sense of duty , but instead by arrogance and a sense of immaculate entitlement. When you are told that you are “The One” for so long, you begin to believe it.

You may not be far off the mark. He presented himself during much of the campaign as the one, the entitled one. So we'll have to see.

As far as the transition goes, some GOP'ers are not too excited about the choice of the highly partisan Rahm Emmanuel as Chief of Staff. Reaching back to the Clinton years. Not where I'd want to go, but for Obama, that was Camelot.

This is already happening. We are still getting campaign ads on TV. Maybe they aren't called that, but we are being reminded.

agree, but he won't back off.

This is a non-stop PR campaign that is worried more about "positioning" and power perpetuation than governing or solving problems.

Bizzy is right. I think this will be a non-stop four year campaign, not leadership (a common critisism of Bush).

I mean, notice how he has that damn logo everywhere, now with a little eagle on it.

Rahm Emanuel is certainly not CHANGE. Boehner said it best.
